State-run power major Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), Adani Enterprises and Piramal Healthcare have been included in the MSCI India Index, during its recent half-yearly review of MSCI global indices. The index is tracked closely by global portfolio managers wanting to take exposure in the Indian equity market. Share price of REC shot up to its 52-week high of Rs 274.80 on the BSE following the inclusion, while that of Adani and Piramal was down 0.15% and 3.80% respectively.
