Saria showed some strength with prices rising by Rs 200 per tonne on the local steel market today following an upswing in constructions activity.

Traders said increased demand from following pick-up in constructions activity, helped saria prices to strengthen.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 46,800, Rs 47,100 and Rs 45,500 per tonne respectively. Saria 16-25-mm followed suit and traded by the same margin to Rs 46,100 per tonne.
