Aiming to reach out to the IT bigwigs as potential investors, Punjab Information and Communication Technology Corporation is marketing its new brand image through Internet. The corporation?engaged in facilitating growth of information technology and knowledge industry in the state?has got the image makeover to match its new brand solution to investors.

Punjab Infotech managing director RK Verma told FE that the corporation has prepared a data base of about 800 potential investors including IT giants like Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Tech Mahindra.

?We plan to invite these companies to Punjab for setting up their campuses and establish their presence here. We are reaching out to them through emails, sending brochures, newsletters, information about new projects etc and hope to rope in a few companies for beginning operations in Punjab,? said Verma.

?We also have a data base of 150 companies that are already operating from the state. The real gains of the re-branding are likely to come once the new brand crystallises in the minds of investors. Ogilvy and Mather was engaged to redesign and reposition the corporation to match investors? expectations and translate the positive perception in the minds of the investors,? he added.

Rebranding was done following a brand audit from communication perspective which was carried out among key stakeholders, and to match with the vision that Punjab has to transform the state into a veritable Knowledge hub of the north.

Ogilvy and Mather also developed a comprehensive communication visual identity plan with elaborate visual tools to support the new brand.
