US treasury secretary Timothy Geithner has said the history of trading restrictions such as the German ban on naked short-selling was ?not good,? and he urged European leaders to follow through with an aid package and fiscal reforms. Geithner said he had not been aware of Germany’s ban on certain naked short-selling before it was announced.
