After Congress, now its the turn for the Sangh Parivar to feel the heat of competitive politics among its sister organisations over controversial Ram affidavit, as BJP general-secretary Vinay Katiyar on Tuesday claimed that its an issue for all Ram Bhakts and so no individual or an organisation can claim monopoly over it.

Rejecting the claims of the VHP that the organisation will not allow political parties to join Ram Sethu Bachao Andolan, Katiyar told FE that VHP was a good organisation and all the saints (Sadhu-Santo) had every right to work in saving symbol of Ram (Sethu), but it could not be monopolistic to any group or individual. I am not in pact with the VHP that only they can serve Rams cause. Probably, they have forgotten that when the disputed structure was demolished, the BJP lost four of its governments in states. According to me every Ram Bhakt has equal right to speak and join save Ram Sethu movement, Katiyar said.

Also not happy with his own party for its reaction to the governments blasphemous affidavit in the Supreme Court rejecting Rams existence, he said, I am pained by the meek response of the BJP in criticising the government and failing to launch a nationwide agitation over the issue. I have spoken to party president and expressed my anguish, adding that he will speak to other senior leaders at its national executive in Bhopal and request them to chalk out an aggressive plan to campaign against the government till it is overthrown.

The affidavit is a sin and its not committed by two officers, or two ministers or even by the PM alone, rather the entire government, including Sonia Gandhi and other UPA partners, is responsible, which hurt the sentiment of crores people in India and abroad, he said.

Ridiculing those, particularly TN chief minister K Karunanidhi, who have been questioning the historicity of Ram, Katiyar said, I ask them, will they be able to tell us about their ancestors 20 generation before.

So, the present fight on the issue is the fight between Ram and Ravan and I call upon all who follows Lord Ram to sink the present-day Ravanas into Indian Ocean, he claimed.
