SpiceJet pays junior staff on time, delays salaries of senior staff by 10-15 days: Report
SpiceJet, a budget carrier, is struggling as it delays paying salaries to employees, especially senior staff. With a workforce of 6,484, the airline had planned to expand its fleet by 10 planes but reported a net loss of Rs 238 crore in the June quarter. Despite raising Rs 3,000 crore last year, the airline currently has only 18 out of 53 aircraft in operation.
