The Ashoka Emblem at the Hazratbal shrine was vandalised by a mob, who said that it goes against the basic principles of Islam. A video of men and women damaging the emblem has gone viral on social media, with many condemning it as “shameful”. Waqf Chair calls it a “terrorist attack” and demands action against perpetrators.
