The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government on Monday sent 5 senior IAS officers who were currently placed at the Centre to aid the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh in its efforts to speed-up economic development. The move comes on the back of UP government’s request to the Centre to allocate some senior officers of the state cadre. PM Modi-led Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had approved the repatriation of the IAS officers concerned on May 8.
As per a report published by Indian Express, the officers are Alok Kumar from the 1988 batch, Sanjay R Bhoosreddy, Prashant Trivedi and Shashi Prakash Goyal from the 1989 batch and Anurag Srivastava from the 1992 batch.
Earlier Alok Kumar was appointed in the Textiles Ministry as a Joint Secretary, while Bhoosreddy was the Chief Vigilance Officer in MMTC Ltd. Both Trivedi and Goyal were working as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Ministry of Human Resource Development, respectively. Srivastava was a Joint Secretary in the AYUSH Ministry.

Apart from the aforementioned names, another IAS officer Avanish Kumar Awasthi was sent back to Uttar Pradesh in April by the Centre.
Soon after assuming power in UP, the Adityanath government has effected some major reshuffles in the administrative department of the state. The state government, in April, had also transffered over 84 IAS and 54 IPS officers which included several district magistrates and police chiefs. As per a report by PTI, among the transferred officers included DM Lucknow GS Priyadarshi, who was been sent to Muzaffarnagar in the same capacity while DM Kanpur Kaushalraj Sharma took his place.
Prominent among the IPS officers transferred include SSP Ghaziabad Deepak Kumar who has been sent to Lucknow in the same capacity replacing Manzil Saini while SSP Saharanpur Luv Kumar was made the SSP of Gautam Buddh Nagar.
