Former US Vice-President Kamala Harris, who also ran for president against Donald Trump last year, may again run for the top office at the White House. In an interview with the UK broadcaster BBC, Kamala said she would “possibly” be president one day, adding that there will be a woman in the White House in future.

She refused the logic that Democrats see her as an outsider and won’t make her the president nominee, Kamala reportedly hinted at a stronger presidential bid in the US Presidential Elections in 2028, the BBC mentioned.

What did Kamala say?

In the interview, she said the White House will definitely see a woman president, adding that her grandnieces would, “in their lifetime, for sure”, see a female president.

When asked if it would be her, she responded, “possibly”. This means Kamala could run for the top job again confirming she is considering another run at the top job.

Though she did not say if that decision has been finalised, she maintained that she sees herself being in politics only in the future.

“I am not done,” she said, adding “I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it’s in my bones.”

Kamala on Trump- ‘Warnings proved right’

Speaking on Trump’s second tenure as the president, the former US vice-president said that her warnings about a “tyrant” Donald Trump have proved to be right.

Kamala Harris ran for the President post after Joe Biden was brutally criticised for his incapability to comprehend things during debates with Trump. Biden then withdrew his candidature and Democrats made Kamala their candidate.

Meanwhile, according to the BBC, responding to the question over odds that place her as an outsider to win a place on the Democratic ticket – even behind Hollywood actor Dwayne the Rock Johnson – she said, “If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office – and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here.”
