When three friends, Les, Desi, and Victor of Nashville, went to try Korean BBQ for the first time, they expected a fun night of good food and laughs. What they didn’t expect was to go viral for accidentally creating a fireball at their table.
In the now-viral TikTok posted by Les (@lesliftt), the trio is seen happily grilling meat when suddenly, the flames shoot up in a huge burst. The clip is set to Carl Orff’s O Fortuna, turning the fiery moment into something straight out of an action movie.
The caption reads, “First Korean BBQ,” but the comments tell the real story.
“Not y’all becoming the Korean BBQ,” one viewer joked. Another wrote, “Nonchalantly opening the gates to hell at the Korean BBQ.” Even the official Coke TikTok account joined in: “‘How was KBBQ?’ ‘Absolutely fire.’”
And one of the top comments summed it up perfectly: “Are you all setting yourselves on fire?”
Luckily, no one was hurt. The restaurant staff quickly put out the flames and even gave the group a free dessert. Les confirmed in the caption that everyone was fine and praised the staff for handling it “like pros.”
With over 12.5 million views, the video has started a wider discussion about Korean BBQ culture and how easily things can get out of hand for first-timers.
As one commenter said, “In all my years of KBBQ, I have never seen this. This looks like an action story.”
Fire or not, Les and her friends’ first Korean BBQ will definitely be remembered as a finest ‘viral’ memory in theri lives
