US President Donald Trump, in yet another attack on the Biden administration, has accused them of not only having “stolen the presidency” but also of “putting Americans in great danger” through open border policies, which, in his words, is the “treason at the highest level”. Trump’s criticism increased after Axios published audio recordings of an interview between Biden and Special Counsel Robert Hur concerning the classified documents found at his private residence. In the interview, Biden appears to struggle with recalling key dates and facts, leading Hur to describe him as an “elderly man with a poor memory”. The release of this interview was closely followed by Biden revealing he has cancer, with reports suggesting his health has declined during his time in office.
Trump, doubling down on his criticism of Biden’s use of an autopen, claimed that his staff knew he was “cognitively impaired” and took control of the autopen on his behalf. He also said that Biden was not pro-open borders, which “almost destroyed” America and cost it billions of dollars in deportation efforts.
“Joe Biden was not for open borders, he never talked about open borders, where criminals of all kinds, shapes, and sizes can flow into our country at will. It wasn’t his idea to open th border, and almost destroy our country, and cost us hundreds of billions of dollars to get criminals out of our country, and go through the process we are going through now,” he wrote on Truth Social, before adding, “It was the people that knew he was cognitively impaired, and that took over the Autopen.”
He added, “They stole the Presidency of the United States and put us in great danger. This is treason at the highest level! They did it to destroy our country.”
The 78-year-old further claimed that the former President would not have taken such actions, and that can be proven if one “looks up his record”.
“The Joe Biden that everybody knew would never allow drug dealers, gang members, and the mentally insane to come into our Country totally unchecked and unvetted. All anyone has to do is look up his record,” he further expressed.
The Republican President went on to say that the country would have been destroyed had he not returned to the White House.
Trump went on to say, “Something very severe should happen to these Treasonous Thugs that wanted to destroy our Country, but couldn’t, because I came along,” and ended his post with “Make America Great Again”.
Earlier in January, before his oath, Trump criticised the Biden administration for alleged failure to close borders even as the nation was “breaking down”. Trump also called for the CIA to step in and strongly criticised Biden’s “Open Borders Policy”, asserting that its consequences “will never be forgotten”.
