Pakistani politician Chaudhary Anwarul Haq made waves this week after claiming credit for the recent Delhi blast. The newly ousted ‘Prime Minister of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir’ threatened to “hit India” — with tangential reference to the Red Fort explosion and Pahalgam terror attack. The remarks came mere days after Islamabad accused New Delhi of “backing” an Afghanistan-led suicide bombing attack and claimed they were “ready for war” with both nations.
“I said earlier, if you (India) keep bleeding Balochistan, we will hit you from the Red Fort to the forests of Kashmir. By the grace of Allah, we have done it… our brave men have done it,” Haq can be heard saying in the now-viral video.
Multiple news reports indicated that the undated clip was from an address that Haq delivered before the PoK Assembly after his ouster on Monday. The former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader was removed as the ‘Prime Minister of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’ after losing a no-confidence vote on November 17.
Jaish-e-Mohammed links
The comments are being interpreted as a reference to the recent Red Fort blast and the devastating Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year. The National Investigation Agency has also found multiple links between the Delhi attack masterminds and the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit.
Lucknow-based doctor Shaheen Saeed — considered to be one of the key conspirators — was reportedly entrusted with leading the new women’s wing of JeM in India. The Jamat ul-Muminat female brigade was formed earlier this month and led by Sadiya Azhar — the widow of late JeM commander Mohammad Yusuf Azhar who was killed during Operation Sindoor. Several key ‘teachers’ imparting ‘jihadi’ training to women under this initiative are the spouses of terrorists slain during Operation Sindoor.
Pakistan ‘ready for war’ with India, Afghanistan
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had made waves last week after claiming that Pakistan was ready for a two-pronged war with India and Afghanistan. The assertion came mere hours after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif claimed that a suicide bombing attack in Islamabad had originated in Afghanistan with “backing” from India. Multi-round peace talks between Afghanistan recently without an agreement as both sides continued to trade blame for border tensions.
“We are ready for war on two fronts. We are ready, we are prepared to face both the eastern (India) and western border (Afghanistan). Allah helped us in round one and He will help us in round two,” India Today quoted him as insisting during a public event.
India has pushed back sharply against claims that it was involved in the Islamabad terror attack — calling it a “predictable tactic” from Pakistan to deflect public attention from domestic issues.
