Music legends Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga are set to light up Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding with their performances, according to reports. The wedding is said to feature the 78-year-old musician, Elton, in the headline act. Lady Gaga, 39, will also take the stage, adding even more glamour to the lavish affair, a Daily Mail report said. Both artists share a long-standing friendship and have previously collaborated on songs like ‘Hello Hello’ and ‘Sine From Above’. The report further cites insiders saying that the couple had personally invited them, adding a personal touch to the celebrations.

Fans speculate both performers to cost around £1million each, if not more, in the apparent ‘wedding of the decade’. Bezos appears to have hired out the entire hotel Aman, which also hosted the famous wedding between partners George and Amal Clooney.

Who is invited to the Besoz-Sanchez wedding party?

As per the Daily Mail, 30 guests of the Bezos-Sanchez wedding party are staying at Hotel Cipriani, which costs roughly £2,700 a night. The star-studded guest list is said to feature a complete Hollywood star cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian.

Later on Thursday, R&B (Rhythm and Blues) legend Usher was also seen arriving at the Gritti hotel in the lagoon city, fuelling rumours that he is reportedly set to perform at the couple’s high-end wedding celebration.

Other high-profile guests, such as President Trump’s first daughter, Ivanka Trump and her family, have already arrived at the wedding venue.

Three-day wedding extravaganza in Venice

Bezos’ staff visited the five-star, private hotel earlier this week to perform a complete review of security measures as well as to fly a drone over the opposite island, San Giorgio, where one of the wedding events is supposed to be held.

A huge tent has been erected in private gardens on the island with a diligent security detail comprising ex-marines conducting multiple site visits.

On Wednesday night, Jeff and his bride-to-be Lauren kicked off their extended wedding celebrations with a cocktail party at the Aman hotel. The three-day wedding extravaganza is also supposed to feature a party held within the fabulous 15th-century Madonna dell’Orto church in Venice’s quaint Cannareggio district.

Venice City Hall issued a directive on Wednesday, closing the area, providing ‘protection’ for the guests from activists who have been protesting for weeks that the celebrations will turn the city of gondolas and palazzi into a private venue for the wedding.

Venice mayor Luigi Brugnaro and regional governor Luca Zaia have expressed their favour for the nuptials, dubbing it ‘the wedding of the century.’ They pointed out that the celebrations are expected to fetch extraordinary revenues for local businesses, reaching up to 34 million dollars.
