The 17th edition of Mumbai’s renowned Kala Ghoda Arts Festival (KGAF) witnessed a large attendance this year. In fact over 5,00,000 visitors are said to have attended the nine-day festival. The most unique addition this year was the Make in India programme. The art festival coincided with Make in India Week. This year’s festival also saw addition of more programmes – a new record was set in its history with 501 programmes across 12 verticals and 113 visual arts installations. Apart from its well known events on literature, cinema, dance, food, heritage walks, music, theatre, etc, KGAF also introduced a Food and Artisan Festival at the Cross Maidan, published two books – The Heritage Art District and Flavours of Kala Ghoda.
