Mukul Dev death: R…Rajkumar and Son of Sardaar fame actor Mukul Dev died at the age of 54 on Friday, May 23, after his health condition worsened. According to reports, the actor was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he breathed his last. He is survived by his daughter Sia Dev. His last rites will be performed at Dayanand Mukti Dham in Delhi’s Nizamuddin at 5 pm. 

‘He passed away peacefully’: Rahul Dev

“Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully in New Delhi last night,” Rahul Dev wrote on Instagram. 

He added, “Missed by siblings Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev and nephew Sidhant Dev.”

Jr NTR offers condolences

Jr NTR offered condolences to his family and added, “Saddened by the passing of Mukul Dev garu. Remembering our time in Adhurs and his commitment to the craft.”

‘I can’t believe this’: Deepshikha Nagpal

Actor Deepshikha Nagpal confirmed the news on her Instagram handle. Sharing a picture of herself with Dev on her Story, she wrote, “I can’t believe this, Mukul,” along with an “RIP” sticker. 

“…Life is really so unpredictable. I woke up to this news, and I’m still in shock. He was just 54. Such an amazing human being. I still can’t believe it,” SCREEN, weekly film magazine by The Indian Express, quoted Nagpal as saying. 

She added that they were in touch and would meet whenever he flew down to Mumbai. 

‘Miss you meri jaan’: Manoj Bajpayee

“It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling,” wrote Manoj Bajpayee on X (formerly Twitter).  He added, “Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young.”

“Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti,” the 56-year-old actor added.

‘Son of Sardaar 2 will be your swansong’

“Rest in peace, my brother Mukul Dev! The time spent with you will always be cherished,” he wrote while sharing a video of himself with the actor.

Singh added, “Son Of Sardaar 2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing!”

In the video, Singh jokes that Dev has been gaining weight from drinking cold drinks, to which Dev replies by teasing Singh about why he doesn’t calm down after having ice cream. The video ends with both of them breaking into laughter.
