Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently used Zoho products and said that they are “phenomenal”. He also said that he is “moving to Zoho” and urged people to adopt “Swadeshi” – a call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“I am moving to Zoho — our own Swadeshi platform for documents, spreadsheets & presentations,” Vaishnaw wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

He further urged people to join PM Modi’s call for Swadeshi by “adopting indigenous products & services”.

‘This is really good’: Vaishnaw

“Office suite, it’s phenomenal. I am so impressed with the capabilities of Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheets and Zoho Presentation,” he said, before stressing, “This is really good.”

He further added, “I think I’ll be shifting to Zoho at the earliest.”

Sridhar Vembu’s response

Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu thanked Vaishnaw for a “huge morale boost”, adding that the company would make India proud.

“Thank you, sir,” he said, before adding, “This is a huge morale boost for our engineers who have worked hard for over two decades to build our product suite.”

He further said, “We will make you proud and make our nation proud. Jai Hind.”

PM Modi’s Swadeshi push

PM Modi on Sunday gave a call to use Swadeshi (Indian-made) products, adding that it can help the nation grow. “The comb in our pocket is made in India or not, we don’t know. We need to buy made-in-India products. We need to make every household a symbol of swadeshi. Garv se kaho ye swadeshi hai [Say with pride — this is swadeshi],” he said.
