Businessman Uday Kotak showered praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday — outlining numerous personal interactions in a lengthy social media post.
“Every interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been an experience filled with learning and inspiration. What strikes me most is the way he blends vision with execution, curiosity with humility. Over the years, I have had several opportunities to engage with him, and each occasion has left me with insights into his remarkable leadership style,” he began.
‘His curiosity was remarkable’
Kotak also recounted the deep passion shown by Modi for the Vibrant Gujarat project and his one-on-one conversations with the senior politician. He recounted that their meetings “always centered around development and how India could transform into a stronger, more dynamic nation”. The biennial global summit is held in the western state and brings together various business and thought leaders, investors, policy makers and more.
“I also had the opportunity to travel with him overseas during his tenure as Chief Minister. His curiosity was remarkable. He would visit a new country, and learn something new. On many occasions, he shared his observations and insights from those trips. One incident stands out clearly. During a meeting in Ahmedabad, he told me about his visit to Japan, where he had noticed a braille trail on the roads leading up to the railway station. He explained how a visually impaired person could walk independently and safely using those tiles. He was so impressed by the idea that upon returning to Gujarat, he implemented the same concept at Kankariya in Ahmedabad, where it remains visible today,” Kotak added.
