The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiary list has become the most searched topic on Google between September 19 and 20, reflecting a sudden surge of public interest ahead of the 21st installment of the central scheme. According to data from Google Trends, more than 20,000 people looked up the term in the last 24 hours, making it the fastest-rising query across several regions in the country.
The search wave continues to remain active, with the topic trending through multiple related keywords such as “PM Kisan status,” “beneficiary list village-wise,” and “PM Kisan 21st installment date.”
What is the PM-KISAN Scheme?
PM-KISAN, launched on 24 February 2019, is one of the world’s largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes. Its aim is to provide income support to all eligible land-owning farmers. Every beneficiary family receives Rs 6,000 a year, given in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. These installments are released every four months, usually matching different farming seasons.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 19 November. This money helps farmers buy seeds, fertilizers and other essentials. It also supports families in meeting expenses like education, medical needs and marriages.
Under this installment, more than Rs 18,000 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of over nine crore farmers across the country.
PM-KISAN: Who can get this benefit?
To make sure only genuine farmers receive the money, the government has set some strict rules:
Land details must be updated: Farmers must ensure their land details are correctly entered and linked on the PM-KISAN portal.
Aadhaar must be linked with bank account: The bank account of the beneficiary must be linked with their Aadhaar number. This is confirmed through an e-KYC process, which helps prevent fraud and makes the money transfer secure.
How farmers can check their Rs 2,000 status
Farmers can easily check if their latest Rs 2,000 installment has been credited:
- Go to the official PM-KISAN website.
- Click on the ‘Farmers Corner’ section.
- Select ‘Know Your Status’.
- Enter your PM-KISAN ID, Aadhaar number, or registered mobile number.
- Enter the Captcha and click ‘Get Status’.
Your beneficiary status will appear on the screen, showing whether the 21st installment has been credited.
What to do if money not received
If the status shows rejected, pending, or on hold, farmers are advised to contact their local Agriculture Office or the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
They can help fix issues such as mismatched bank details, incomplete KYC, wrong land records, or Aadhaar-related errors so that farmers can receive their installment without delay.
