Google trends: Over the past 24 hours, three very different subjects have dominated Google Trends in India. From job aspirants checking their future to cricket fans celebrating a clinical win and a rare TV appearance by one of India’s biggest billionaires, the trends today cover a wide spectrum of interests.

WBP Constable result tops searches

At the top of the list is the WBP Constable Result, which has crossed 1 lakh searches. Thousands of candidates are anxiously refreshing pages for updates from the West Bengal Police recruitment process. Searches are largely around result links, merit lists, cut-off marks and what comes next.

With government jobs being highly sought after, even a small update or delay quickly sends search interest soaring. Over 60,000 candidates have qualified for the next round, which includes the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), according to the media reports. The tests are likely to be held in early January 2026.

Chandigarh vs Bengal match sparks cricket buzz

The second trending topic, Chandigarh vs Bengal, has clocked over 20,000 searches, driven by excitement around domestic cricket. With the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 in full swing, the match between Bengal and Chandigarh at Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium grabbed attention after Bengal registered an impressive six-wicket win.

Chandigarh put up a strong total of 319, powered by a century from Manan Vohra, but Bengal’s Abishek Porel stole the spotlight with a stunning 106 off just 84 balls, making a tough chase look effortless.

Kumar Mangalam Birla’s rare TV appearance grabs attention

Another name drawing heavy search interest is Kumar Mangalam Birla. The Aditya Birla Group chairman made a rare and much-talked-about television appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.

During the episode, Birla shared interesting stories about the long-standing relationship between the Birla and Tata families. One anecdote, in particular, caught viewers’ attention — a time when the Birlas held more shares in certain Tata companies than the Tatas themselves — making his KBC appearance feel both personal and historic.
