It is not every day that three of the world’s most powerful leaders share a casual meal over Korean fried chicken and beer. But when Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Euisun Chung gathered at Kkanbu Chicken in Seoul’s Gangnam district, the internet could not get enough.
According to footage circulating online, Huang was in high spirits throughout the evening, standing up to toast the room and said, “Your dinner bills are on me tonight. Enjoy all the chicken and beer!”
He reportedly ordered extra fried chicken for the crowd waiting outside, fans who had gathered for hours just to catch a glimpse of the Nvidia chief.

Initially, Samsung’s Lee covered the dinner bill for everyone in the restaurant, while Hyundai’s Chung later picked up the remaining tab. But it was Huang’s infectious energy and generosity that captured hearts.
Clad in his trademark black leather jacket and a Burberry T-shirt, the AI icon posed for selfies, waved to fans, and even handed out gifts to those waiting near the entrance.
What began as a friendly dinner quickly turned into what fans are calling the “Chimaek Summit,” a nod to the popular Korean pairing of chicken (chi) and beer (maekju). Videos of the trio clinking glasses in a “love shot”, a Korean drinking gesture equating to closeness, have gone viral, delighting netizens and even driving up shares of local fried chicken chains and poultry processors.
The gathering, reportedly arranged by Nvidia, began around 7:30 p.m. at Kkanbu Chicken, a restaurant that gained global recognition from Squid Game. It was a fitting backdrop for a night that blended Korean culture, camaraderie, and a touch of Silicon Valley flair.
‘What a cool CEO’
Netizens hailed Huang’s gesture. A user stated, “What a cool CEO.” Another added, “He is the dude that everyone wants to have in the room.” “Alliances being made with all the right people. Seems like one of the good guys,” praised a user. “The Asian Version of Elon Musk,” called another. “Normalize CEO’s doing this. Jensen is a stand up guy. I’m really that he’s celebrating right now,” claimed a user.
