Star India batter Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma visited spiritual leader Premanand at his Ashram in Vrindavan on Tuesday, marking their third visit to him this year. The couple sought blessings at Radha Keli Kunj Ashram at Varah Ghat and participated in a private spiritual interaction.
A video of the visit, which has since gone viral on social media, shows Kohli and Anushka attentively listening to Premanand as he shares spiritual and philosophical guidance. Premanand advises humility and devotion. During the interaction, the spiritual guru urges the couple to view their professional lives with reverence and humility.
He advised them to treat their workplace as a form of service to God, emphasising seriousness, modesty and devotion in daily life. “Consider your workplace as a temple, remain humble and continue to pray,” the spiritual leader told the couple, in the video shared online.
Anushka Sharma appeared visibly emotional during the discourse, while Kohli listened intently as the spiritual leader spoke about unity, faith and detachment from ego.
Third visit to Vrindavan this year
This was the third time in 2025 that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have visited Vrindavan. The couple had earlier travelled to meet Premanand in January and May, including a visit with their children, Vamika and Akaay. Their May visit came shortly after Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket, after which he sought spiritual guidance from the saint. The couple recently returned to India from the UK, where they have been residing with their children.
What lies ahead for Virat Kohli
Kohli, who remains active in ODI cricket and the Indian Premier League, is expected to feature in a limited number of matches for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on December 24. He is set to rejoin the Indian squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, starting January 11, which will be India’s only 50-over assignment until mid-2026.
