Tim Seifert was at his blistering best during Melbourne Renegades’ match against Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 fixture in Geelong on Monday (December 15). The right-handed batter who opened for Renegades scored a 56-ball 102 helping his team post a formidable first innings score of 212/5 after being put in to bat first. His innings comes a day before the IPL 2026 Auction where Seifert has registered himself at a base price ₹1.50 crore.
The New Zealand star scored a cumulative of 15 boundaries which includes 9 fours and 6 sixes, helping him bat with a strike rate of 182.14. Other than Seifert, Oliver Peake also came good with the bat for Renegades, chipping with 57 runs off 29 balls.
Jack Wildermuth pick of the bowlers for Brisbane Heat
For Heat, right-arm medium fast bowler Jack Wildermuth was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 3 wickets for 34 runs. Left-arm spinner Patrick Dooley and right-arm medium pacer Xavier Bartlett were the other wicket-takers for Heat.

Although it’s still early days in the competition, Perth Scorchers are sitting at the top of the points table having defeated Sydney Sixers in a rain-affected tournament opener on Sunday (December 14). The Melbourne Renegades vs Brisbane Heat match is just the second fixture of the season.
