India vs South Africa 3rd T20I highlights: IND take 2-1 lead in series vs SA, win by 7 wickets

India move ahead 2-1 in the series, with the result built firmly on a dominant bowling effort. The platform was then seized in the powerplay by Abhishek Sharma, whose explosive 38 off just 15 balls took the pressure off and set the chase on course. That early surge allowed Shubman Gill the luxury of spending time at the crease, though in hindsight, it proved a mixed blessing as he rode his luck and struggled to find fluency.

Tilak Varma remained unusually restrained, but it barely mattered on a night when momentum was already with the hosts. Suryakumar Yadav’s stay was brief once again, adding little to the total. At the other end, Abhishek Sharma is operating in a different mode altogether. He shows no such uncertainty, taking Jansen on with authority — a thumping boundary followed by a towering six off the penultimate and final deliveries of the over, keeping the momentum firmly with India. 16 runs come from this over too. Kuldeep starts the final over with two tight dot balls, building the pressure. He then drags one back short, Nortje charges and misses completely, and Jitesh is lightning-quick behind the stumps to complete the stumping.

Baartman walks in to join Ngidi, nudges a single to hand over the strike. Ngidi survives with an inside edge for one, but there’s no escape at the end. Kuldeep strikes again on the final ball, removing Baartman to cap off a clinical over. SA post a target of 118 runs for India to chase in Dharamsala.

Aiden Markram has shared the pitch with all the players. He is the one who is trying to hold it for the team. He starts Harshit Rana's over with a boundary. Follows it by a sixer. With this, he has completed his half-century. And there's no stopping Markram - hits another sixer! Too late though? Never mind, it is good to see Markram play. Varun flights it full and Ferreira commits to the slog sweep, looking to launch it over mid-wicket. He swings hard but misses completely and the ball crashes into the leg stump to end the charge. Varun gets his 50th T20I wicket and South Africa's woes continue. SA 69/6 (14)

Half the game is over and India is all over South Africa. The pacers have dominated the batters all through. And Shivam Dube comes in after the drinks break. And he strikes hard. Powerplay is over and Hardik Pandya has come in to bowl this one. Couple of good ones from Markram so far. The opening order has crumbled badly early on for the Proteas. They need some big runs at this point. The night in Dharamsala is chilly tonight. The temperatures have dropped to single digits. Pandya is one wicket away from his 100th T20I wicket. Harshit Rana is fully charged up he has taken his second wicket of the game on the first delivery of his over. Inside edge for Brevis. The ball's speed was 144 ks! And there's another appeal from lbw. Was it a catch? Everybody's confused. Umpire goes upstairs. It remains the highest strike rate recorded by any batter against Bumrah in a T20I (minimum six balls faced).

Ferreira also launched him for two sixes, the joint-most ever hit off the Indian spearhead in a single T20I.
