The Pakistan Cricket Team is set to play their first One-Day International (ODI) match since their exit from the ODI Cricket World Cup, held in India in November 2023. This marks nearly a year-long break from the 50-over format for the team.
The Pakistan ODI team is currently led by wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan. The first ODI match between Australia and Pakistan is scheduled for Monday, November 4. It will take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia. The match will commence at 9:00 am (IST).

The first ODI match between Australia and Pakistan will be broadcast live on the Star Sports Network in India. It will also be streamed live on the Disney+ Hotstar app and website in India.
For the match today, Australia has rested Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh for the ODI series as both are on paternity leave. In their absence, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Matt Short will have another chance to make an impact. Captain Pat Cummins is also set to return to the squad for the first time since their ODI World Cup victory in India in November 2023.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has included six uncapped players in both the ODI and T20I squads: Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub. Additionally, Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Afridi rejoin the squad after being rested following the first match of the Test series against England.
