Who will perform at the Tata IPL opening ceremony?
The confirmed list of performers is out! As per the post on X, the IPL on Thursday confirmed that Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, ace singer Sonu Nigam and Madras Mozart AR Rahman will be performing at the opening ceremony. Apart from the desi stars, the glittering ceremony will also see a key cameo by DJ Axwell. Reports suggest that Rahman and Nigam will also belt out patriotic numbers.
Last year, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rashmika Mandanna, and singer Arijit Singh had performed at the IPL opening ceremony. Apart from the performances by the stars from the entertainment industry, the IPL opening ceremony will also see an ‘Augmented Reality’ show.

The opening match of IPL 2024 featuring Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is set to commence at 8:00 pm IST at MA Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium in Chennai on March 22nd.
For the remainder of the league matches in the 17th edition, the scheduled start times are 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm IST.
