The government has deferred the All India Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data to December 1. Earlier, the IIP data for the month of October was going to be released on November 28.
MoSPI reschedules October IIP data
The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) said in its release that the IIP data is getting rescheduled because it is coinciding with the release of Q2 GDP, the Quarterly Estimates of Gross Domestic Product for the July–September quarter.
It is hereby informed that the IIP for October 2025 will now be released on 1st December 2025 at 4:00 PM.
September IIP growth
IIP growth rate for the month of September 2025 was recorded at 4% year-on-year, unchanged from the quick estimate for August 2025. The Quick Estimates of IIP stood at 152.8 against 146.9 in September 2024.
The growth rates of the three sectors, mining, manufacturing and electricity for the month of September 2025 were (-)0.4%, 4.8% and 3.1% respectively.
