Indian Railways new time table has been made operational from October 1; the ‘Train at Glance’ schedule contains information about new stoppages in Duronto train service, details about train reservation, tatkal scheme and refund rules – ticket bookings by railways passengers must be done keeping this in mind. Check the time of the train before leaving for the journey for the tickets booked through irctc.co.in or at Railway counters before 1st October.

New Indian Railways time table known as ‘Train at Glance’ has user-friendly features like how to read a table, route map, station index, trains between important stations, station code index, Train number index and train name index.

Information about advance reservation period, reservation through internet, Tatkal scheme, Refund rules, disaster management, rail travel concessions and catering services has been retained in the new Indian Railways Time Table.

Since there were no announcement of new trains, extension and increase in frequency of existing trains in the Railway Budget 2015-16, only six new express trains have been introduced, owing to public demand, and they find place in the new Indian Railways time table.

Passengers are advised to refer to the new timings and new starting terminal stations from October 1 before starting the journey.

Indian Railways new time table is also available on its website (www.indianrailways.gov.in).

Since operational halts of all Duronto trains have been converted into commercial stoppages, it has found mention in Railways new time table.

While some train speeds have been increased to reduce the travel time for the benefit of the passengers, some have been re-numbered due to shifting of primary maintenance depot or due to speeding up, thus making them superfast, have been updated in the new Time Table.

Besides, some trains have also been renamed recently, such as Anuvrat Express, Leelan Express, Loknayak Express, Sushashan Express, Yoga Express, Kriya Yoga Express also feature in the new time table.
