Probe ordered into pasting of 'bhukamp' sticker on injured</br><br> Bihar government has ordered an inquiry into the pasting of stickers on the foreheads of persons injured in earthquake at Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) after the incident kicked up a row. Baidyanath Sahni, minister in-charge for the district, who visited DMCH late last evening after the news of pasting "bhukamp" (earthquake) tags on foreheads of victims went viral, told PTI today that he has asked the District Magistrate to conduct a probe. In black money drive, ED freezes Rs 9,003 cr props, files 173 chargesheets</br><br> In a major action against black money hoarders and money launderers, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets to the tune of Rs 9,003 crore and filed 173 charge sheets in the financial year 2014-15. The agency, as part of its efforts to crack down on illicit funds in India and abroad, in the last year registered a mammoth 400 per cent rise in the numbers of assets attached, over 500 per cent increase in the number of criminal FIRs lodged, over 600 per cent more numbers of arrests made of people suspected to be involved in laundering crimes and more than 200 per cent jump in the filing of prosecution complaints or charge sheets as compared to the 2013-14 fiscal. No official communication about my expulsion from AAP: Yogendra Yadav</br><br> Expelled Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav today said he has not received any official communication from the party regarding his expulsion, and still considers himself to be a part of the 'movement'. "As of now, it is more than a week since the party said in a press release that Prashant Bhushanji, I, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha have been expelled from the membership of the party. As of now, I have not received any communication," Yadav told reporters here. Speaking on the sidelines of "Swaraj Samwad" organised here, he said, "There is no order. There was a claim to be a disciplinary committee which was supposed to investigate our cases, they have not given any order, they have not spelt out any reason. Farmers who commit suicide are cowards, says BJP minister, draws flak from Rahul Gandhi</br><br> Haryana Agriculture Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader O P Dhankar has stoked a controversy with insensitive remarks that farmers who commit suicide are “cowards” and “criminals”, drawing severe flak from the Opposition with Rahul Gandhi raking it up in Parliament today. “Committing suicide is a crime, according to Indian law. Any person who commits suicide escapes from his responsibilities and leaves the burden on his wife and innocent children and such people are cowards,” Dhankar, who earlier headed the BJP’s Kisan Cell, said yesterday. While farmers were “crying with pain in their hearts”, the Haryana Minister was calling them “cowards”, Rahul Gandhi said amidst a chorus of “shame, shame” from the Opposition benches. India sends 'Langar' teams to Nepal to feed quake victims</br><br> Two teams of Indian volunteers have been sent to open 'Langars' to feed about 20,000 people every day in quake-ravaged Nepal. "One Langar team of 25 men with 24 metric tonnes of supplies from Haryana is being sent to Kathmandu today. "Another Langar team of 18 men with 30 metric tonnes of supplies from Punjab will be sent tomorrow. Each of these teams is capable of providing cooked meals for 10,000 people every day for a period of one month," an official release issued after a meeting of the National Crisis Management Committee (NCMC) headed by Cabinet Secretary Ajith Seth said. Reporter held for carrying live cartridges to Ramdev interview</br><br> A reporter of a private TV news channel was arrested on the charge of carrying live cartridges to an interview with yoga guru Ramdev, police said today. Ashu Sharma had last night gone to Ramdev's Patanjali residence in Bahadarabad area of Haridwar to interview the yoga guru who has recently returned from quake-ravaged Nepal, SHO of Bahadarabad police station Pradip Bisht said. Coal scam: Naveen Jindal, 14 others chargesheeted by CBI</br><br> Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, ex-Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and 12 others were today chargesheeted by CBI in connection with Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation scam case. Unmanned Russian spacecraft 'plunging to Earth'</br><br> An unmanned Russian cargo spacecraft ferrying supplies to the International Space Station is plunging back to Earth and apparently out of control, an official said today. "It has started descending. It has nowhere else to go," an official familiar with the situation told AFP on condition of anonymity, speaking ahead of an official Russian space agency statement expected later in the day. Landslides stall Badrinath Yatra</br><br> The annual Badrinath Yatra was stalled today after landslides triggered by rains blocked the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway at Chamoli district. The road between Joshimath and Govindghat was blocked by big boulders, due to landslides caused by rains yesterday, Chamoli's Disaster Management official Nand Kishore Joshi said.
