India has emerged as the top contributor to America’s immigrant billionaire population, as per the Forbes 2025 List of America’s richest immigrants. With 12 billionaires, India has surpassed Israel and Taiwan, each with 11, highlighting the growing global influence of Indian-origin business leaders.
The US now houses 125 foreign-born billionaires who represent 14% of the country’s total billionaire count and have access to $1.3 trillion, or 18% of total billionaire wealth.
Remarkably, 93% of immigrant billionaires are self-made, and most of them have found success in the field of finance and technology. Leading the pack is Jay Chaudhary, founder of the cybersecurity firm Zscaler, with a net worth of $17.9 billion. India’s supremacy reflects decades of talent migration, innovation, and establishing a business, cementing its place at the top of America’s wealth.
