The rankings are based on the parameters of leadership, economic influence, political power, international alliance and military strength. Transitioning to a multipolar world, nations like the USA, China and Russia have still topped the chart. Despite the robust economy, powerful militia and influential international ties, India did not make it to the top 10. While it stands at number 12, India is among the top 5 in terms of global GDP.
