1. InterGlobe Aviation IPO off to flying start; subscribed 87%: </br>The Rs 3,018-crore initial public offer of IndiGo's parent InterGlobe Aviation, the biggest in nearly three years, started on a promising note as the issue was subscribed 87 per cent on the first day itself. With this, the company's IPO has emerged as the most sought after public offer so far this year as the issue witnessed strong investor response on the first day itself. 2. GM recalling 1.4M cars; oil leaks can cause engine fires: </br>For the third time in seven years, General Motors is recalling cars that can leak oil and catch fire, in some instances damaging garages and homes. The recall, which covers 1.4 million vehicles dating to the 1997 model year, is needed because repairs from the first two recalls didn't work. More than 1,300 cars caught fire after they were fixed by dealers, the company said. In the previous recalls, in 2008 and 2009, GM told owners to park the cars outside until repairs can be made since most of the fires happened shortly after drivers turned off the engines. (Reuters)

3. LIC Nomura MF to launch debt-oriented product on Wednesday: </br>LIC Nomura Mutual Fund will launch a closed ended income scheme on Wednesday. The new fund – LIC Nomura MF Dual Advantage Fixed Term Plan – Series 3 — will invest minimum of 65 per cent in debt and a maximum of 35 per cent in the equity. The new fund offer, which will open on Wednesday and close on November 10, has a maturity period of 42 months, LIC Nomura MF said in a statement.

Bajaj Auto launches 3 new Avenger bike models: </br>Bajaj Auto on Tuesday launched three new variants of its sports biking brand, the Avengers, and priced them under Rs 85,000 with a view to popularise leisure biking. The Pune-based company rolled out three new models -Avenger Cruise 220, Street 220 and the Street 150 – all catering to leisure biking, a fast-growing sub-segment under the sports biking space. The 220 cc bikes are priced at Rs 84,000 while the 150-cc commands a price tag of Rs 79,000, ex-showroom, Delhi. (PTI)

Zuckerberg starts India tour with visit to Taj Mahal:</br> Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on Tuesday began his trip to India with a visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra and described it as "even more stunning" than he had expected. Zuckerberg, who arrived in India to deepen links with a country that is home to the largest number of Facebook users outside the US, said he had "always wanted to see" the Taj Mahal. "I'm in India for our Townhall Q&A on Wednesday, and I decided to visit the Taj Mahal. I've always wanted to see this," he said in his Facebook post. (PTI)

Ola kicks off football campaign on Twitter: </br>Taxi aggregator Ola has started a campaign around football '#PassItForward' on microblogging site Twitter to help support 200 slum dwelling boys and girls. As a part of the campaign, football fans perform a football trick, record a video of it, post it on Twitter with #PassItForward marking the handle @Olacabs and nominate a friend or two and pass the ball forward to them, Ola said in a statement. The campaign has participation from celebrities like Rannvijay Singh, Raghu Ram, Sophie Choudry, Manish Paul and players like Sunil Chhetri. (Reuters)

Arun Jaitley launched two tax-payer friendly initiatives: </br>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday launched two taxpayer friendly measures — eSahyog and PAN camps — with a view to streamlining the taxation procedure. "The objective of the I-T department is to make life as easy as possible for the assessee and difficult only for those who consciously evade and avoid taxes," he said while launching the twin initiatives of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). 8. Droom launches in Chandigarh:</br> Droom, country's online marketplace for used and new automobiles and auto-related services, announced its launch in Chandigarh on Tuesday. This launch marks the expansion of the company in Punjab region and local sellers and buyers will now be able to transact on Droom’s platform for buying and selling any automobile including bikes, cars and even planes, a company release said here. Marking its entry into the new market, Droom has tied up with Uber in Chandigarh for ‘Supercars on Demand’ that would give Uber riders an opportunity to ride the cars of their dream, the release said.

Call drop: Telcos warn of hike in mobile tariffs: </br>Upping the ante against Trai's regulation on call drops, telecom operators on Tuesday warned that mobile tariff will go up if they are forced to pay compensation for dropped calls. The operators have also asserted that it is not possible to make a network free from call drops. Trai has mandated operators to compensate consumers from January 1 if they face call drop problem. However, the regulation limits compensation to only three call drops in a day which means maximum compensation can be of Rs 3 in a day to a consumer. (Reuters)

Maruti Suzuki Vitara compact SUV to be unveiled at 2016 Auto Expo; Launch likely in April: </br>Maruti Suzuki India that recently rolled out its premium hatchback Baleno in the country, has now announced to bring in the much-awaited Vitara compact SUV by April, 2016. The announcement came from the company’s officials during a media interaction. The company also confirmed that the Maruti Suzuki Vitara will be showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, and will be priced below Rs 10 lakh.
