Apple Inc is expected to launch its new iPhone 6S smartphone today at the Cupertino event – Apple has in the past unveiled its new iPhones in September. Reports have also been rife about an entirely new iPhone (7) device, but there is no 'confirmation' at all about that and these have been consigned to the extremely unreliable parts of the Net world. So, here are the top 5 Apple iPhone 6S expectations, from 3D Force Touch, camera to RAM:

(In this Sept 9, 2014 file photo, Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks during an announcement of new products in Cupertino, California) (AP Photo)
Apple iPhone 6S: 3D Force Touch
In latest iPhone 6S, Apple is expected to include what it calls Force Touch, allowing users to interact more intuitively with their devices via a pressure-sensitive screen which mimics the feel and response of real buttons. In the long run, the technology also promises new or better applications, from more lifelike games and virtual reality to adding temperature, texture and sound to our screens. "Force Touch is going to push the envelope of how we interact with our screens," says Joel Evans, vice president of mobile enablement at Mobiquity, a mobile consultancy. Apple hasn't disclosed what it will announce at an event on Wednesday, but reports have said it will unveil new iPhones incorporating a version of the Force Touch technology already in some laptop touchpads and its Watches. Apple declined to comment. The new iPhone 6S will continue with the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen size like the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, according to a Bloomberg report. The front camera too will get upgraded to 5 megapixels to enable better selfies. Also, the iPhone 6S will support 4K recording resolution. To avoid the embarrassment that resulted from some iPhone 6s bending in 2014, Apple will presumably use a new “grade of aluminium”. (Representational image; Reuters) Apple iPhone 6S: 2GB RAM
The new iPhone 6S may well pack 2GB RAM and ditch the current 1GB RAM that it has been sticking to for long, according to reports. However, confirmation of this particular aspect is difficult as Apple never reveals the RAM at the launch event. The new Apple iPhone 6S may also come with a “new Qualcomm-made LTE chip” that can deliver twice the LTE speeds of current crop of iPhones, as per a 9to5Mac report.
