HTC HAS launched its Desire 820s smartphone in India. The phone offers a crisp HD display and has a 5.5-inch screen. It has a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The 820s uses a MediaTek processor unlike its predecessor, which had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615.

The new processor provides life-like visuals, smooth gaming and fluid videos. The phone screen also doubles as an enlarged camera viewfinder.

The Desire 820s has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB memory space, which can be expanded via a memory card to 32 GB. Both the cameras support
1,080p video recording.

The phone is backed by a 2,600 mAh Li-polymer battery, comes with 12.1 hours’ talktime and up to 560 hours standby time on 3G.

HTC Desire 820s costs around R25,000.
