Xiaomi recently announced the Mi A1 and it has now come up with a new variant to its Redmi Note 5A. The Chinese company has launched a number of devices in the budget section. However, the Note 5A is not a new phone, as Xiaomi had two other models of the smartphone in China earlier. But this time, it has added a bigger RAM and storage capacity variant. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has not officially informed about its plans to launch the Redmi Note 5A in India. This launch with a higher end variant is currently meant only for China. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. In China, it is available at CNY 1,199, which means if the phone comes to India, the price of the Redmi Note 5A will be around Rs 12,000.
Meanwhile, the standard version of Redmi Note 5A comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and is powered by the Snapdragon 425 processor. However, the higher-end models are equipped with the Snapdragon 435 with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB + 64GB storage. The rest of the features of all three other models remain almost same. All the phones feature dedicated microSD slots and dual SIM slot. The 3GB and 4GB models also come with a fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi could release the Redmi Note 5A in other markets like India before the end of the year. Given its price in China, and the plans company has for India, it can be assumed that phone will be launched at a similar price point in India.
The latest Xiaomi release sports a 5.5-inch HD screen with a metal-clad cover on the back. The phone which has features identical to Redmi Note 5, a sensation in Indian smartphone market, packs a lesser 3,080mAh battery with Type-C charging port.
The phones feature 16MP front-camera with f/2.0 aperture, dedicated LED flash and full HD video recording. The phones are available in Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, and Platinum Silver colour models
