Xiaomi announced a bunch of new smart home ecosystem products and “more” at its annual smarter living event in India today. Alongside the Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Buds 5A, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10, and Xiaomi handheld garment steamer, Xiaomi also finally announced the launch date of the limited “World champions” or AFA (short for Argentina Football Association) edition of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. The limited-edition model which marks the 10-year anniversary of Xiaomi in India and was first teased in January, is finally coming on April 30.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus AFA Edition offer “a unique and exclusive product embodying the spirit of innovation and passion that both Xiaomi and the Argentine Football Association share,” Xiaomi said in a press release. Further details about price and memory configuration should be announced closer to launch.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus was launched in India in the beginning of this year as the most high-end model in Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 13 series. It brings a bunch of “aspirational” features including Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a whopping 200-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation at mainstream prices. The AFA edition features a customised box, though the in-box contents are yet to be revealed.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus has a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging all put together inside an IP68-rated chassis. You also get a trio of sensors on the back of this phone with a 200-megapixel (HP3) main sensor behind an optically stabilised lens.
The “regular” Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus comes in a choice of 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB for Rs 31,999, Rs 33,999, and Rs 35,999, respectively.
