Vivo has launched a new affordable mid-ranger, the Vivo T4x 5G, in India at a starting price of Rs 13,999. Billed as the first smartphone in the T4 series, the T4x comes powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip and a gargantuan 6500mAh battery. Vivo also touts the T4x 5G for its military-grade certified durability and an IP64 rating for enhanced durability.

Vivo has launched the T4x 5G in a choice of 6GB/128GB for Rs 13,999, 8GB/128GB for Rs 14,999 and 8GB/256GB for Rs 16,999. General availability is pegged for March 12, 2025. You will be able to buy the phone across Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and all partner retail stores.

Vivo says the T2x and T3x have received “overwhelming” success in India and the T4x is built to take things a notch higher with upgrades in design and performance. Available in Pronto Purple and Marine Blue, the T4x 5G meets Military Grade Shock Resistance (MIL-STD-810H)3 standards. The chassis of the phone is also IP64 rated for dust and water resistance.
The T4x features a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 1050 nits in high brightness mode (HBM), Vivo claims, while a hole punch cutout at the centre houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. On the back, the phone has a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel f/1.8 wide and 2-megapixel depth camera.
Under the hood, the Vivo T4x 5G has the Dimensity 7300 processor paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. Running the show is Vivo’s Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. The phone is guaranteed to get two years of OS and three years of security updates. The phone has a 6500mAh battery and supports 44W fast charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C. Biometrics are handled by a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
