Now you can create images in ChatGPT as OpenAI adds DALL-E3 on ChatGPT. According to a social media post by OpenAI, it will be allowing users to create images for free in ChatGPT.
The company announced on Thursday that it will allow users of ChatGPT’to create images with its DALL-E 3 model. Initially this offer was available just for users who paid for ChatGPT Plus.
DALL-E3 in ChatGPT
On August 9, OpenAI posted on X (previously Twitter) that “We’re rolling out the ability for ChatGPT Free users to create up to two images per day with DALL·E 3. Just ask ChatGPT to create an image for a slide deck, personalize a card for a friend, or show you what something looks like.”
OpenAI claims that with the new addition, users will be able to get an upgraded experience of ChatGPT. This can eventually help to explain an idea with more details. For example in the case of explaining scientific diagrams, geographical maps and more.
Create images in ChatGPT
In an official blog, OpenAI explained that one of DALL-E 3’s key improvements is that ChatGPT can come up with a prompt to make an image. This could eventually make it easier to make images. During a demo of DALL-E3, Aditya Ramesh, lead researcher and head of the DALL-E team, had prompted ChatGPT to “help him come up with a logo for a ramen restaurant in the mountains. ChatGPT then wrote a longer prompt, and DALL-E came up with four options,” The Verge reported.
But what is DALL-E3 and how can this enhance your experience of using ChatGPT? OpenAI claims that DALL·E 3 can understand significantly more nuance and detail than their previous systems. This can allow you to easily translate your ideas into ’exceptionally accurate images,’ OpenAI highlighted.
Despite OpenAI rolling out this feature for free, it has limited the use of DALL-E 3. According to OpenAI you can only create 2 images per day using DALL-E 3 in ChatGPT.
Other updates
A few days ago OpenAI had finally shared plans to introduce voice mode in ChatGPT. After suffering major backlash, OpenAI finally executed its ChatGPT’s advanced voice mode. The backlash is expected to have delayed the launch to July end.
Furthermore, OpenAI said that the Advanced Voice Mode will be for ChatGPT’s four preset voices. The voices includes the following:
- Juniper
- Breeze
- Cove
- Ember
Notably, these voices are made in partnership with paid voice actors. However, for the time being the alpha version will only be available to a small group of ChatGPT Plus users.
