The Vivo X200 series is coming soon to India. Sources have told financialexpress.com that the lineup—that boots the X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini—is set to launch in India within this year. That is a bit earlier than the X100 series. Whether or not Vivo plans to bring the whole trio remains unclear, although there is enough evidence that the X200 Pro Mini is made exclusively for China in which case, it chances of coming to India appear slim at the time of writing.

The X200 and X200 Pro launch in India is a dead given considering Vivo has previously launched the X100 and X100 Pro phones in the country, too. For the X200 Pro Mini, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed for now until there is more information. Be sure to stay tuned for more on that.

As expected, the X200 series goes all gung-ho on photography. The X200 Pro is obviously the top-of-the-line model with a trio of high-res sensors on the back—a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 f/1.57, 200-megapixel 3.7x f/2.67 Zeiss APO telephoto and 50-megapixel f/2.0 ultrawide with autofocus. The X200 Pro Mini’s setup includes—50-megapixel wide, 50-megapixel 3x telephoto and another 50-megapixel ultrawide. The X200 has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921, 50-megapixel IMX882 telephoto and another 50MP ultrawide.

All the three phones—X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini—bag the fastest chip that MediaTek makes today, that is, the Dimensity 9400. Vivo also went ahead and put big batteries inside them. The X200 Pro has a 6,000mAh, X200 Pro Mini a 5,700mAh, while the X200 has a 5,800mAh battery.

The X200 series boasts of a new flat-edged design although the Oreo-style camera housing keeps things in familiar territory.

Vivo has been on a launch blitzkrieg in India lately, especially on the premium front. It is no surprise that the X200 series is coming to India. The more important question is how Vivo plans to price it. Watch this space for more details.
