Samsung launched the Galaxy A05s in India a few weeks ago. The phone was launched in sole 6GB/128GB configuration for Rs 14,999. Now, ahead of the festival of Diwali, the company has announced another variant, one with 4GB of RAM, giving buyers a more affordable option of the same phone. The Galaxy A05s 4GB/128GB version has been launched in India at a price of Rs 13,499.

The Samsung Galaxy A05s comes in a choice of two memory configurations after today’s announcements. These are 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB. The former is priced at Rs 13,499 and the latter at Rs 14,999.

Both variants will be available across Samsung exclusive and retail stores, Samsung.com and other e-commerce portals. Samsung says it will offer EMI options on the Galaxy A05s with Samsung Finance+, select banks and NBFC’s starting from Rs 1,150 a month. SBI credit card purchases will be eligible for an additional Rs 1,000 cash back on buying the phone, the company added in a press release.

Talking about specs, the Samsung Galaxy A05s is a budget smartphone with a 6.71-inch 1080p PLS LCD display that supports 90Hz refresh rate and has a water drop-style notch at the top. The notch houses a 13-megapixel camera for selfies.
Under the hood, you get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Running the show is One UI Core edition with a guarantee of two major OS and four years of security updates.

The phone has a triple camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50-megapixel primary shooter paired to two other 2MP cameras, one for depth and another for macros. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast USB Type-C charging baked in though Samsung does not bundle a charger in the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A05s comes in a choice of three colours: Light Green, Light Violet and Black.
