Users across the country complained that they weren’t able to use the internet, as they seemed to be facing network issues.
As reported by Downdetector, over 54 per cent of the complainants are facing problems with mobile internet, 38 per cent with Jio Fiber and 7 per cent are facing disruptions with mobile networks.
Due to the network outage, users were not able to login and use several OTT platforms and other social media apps such as Amazon Prime, Swiggy, x (formerly Twitter) among others.
Some users posted in X (formerly Twitter) to express anger over Jio outage. One wrote, “#Jio network is down for Google, Swiggy & major websites. Whereas, WhatsApp, Jio’s own platforms seem to be working okay.”
However, industry watchers say this was a more widespread issue and it was a “global application-level issue.” All telecom service providers appeared to be facing an issue.
