Reliance Jio, one of India’s largest telecom operators, has successfully restored its mobile and JioFiber services across the country after a widespread outage on Monday afternoon left thousands of users without internet connectivity, mobile signals, and access to calls. The disruption, which began around 1:30 PM and saw a rapid surge in complaints across major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Kochi, appears to have been resolved, though an official statement from the company regarding the cause is still awaited.
According to data from outage trackers, the peak of the disruption saw over 12,000 reports, with a significant majority of users experiencing issues with mobile internet and a considerable number also facing problems with JioFiber and mobile network reception. Social media platforms were flooded with frustrated users reporting “No Service” messages and frequent call drops, highlighting the immediate and extensive impact on daily communications and digital activities across multiple regions.
According to outage tracking site Downdetector, over 12,000 users have reported issues, with the bulk of complaints related to mobile data outages. About 32% of users cited problems with making or receiving calls, while 12% reported disruptions in JioFiber services.
The connectivity issues reportedly began around 1:45 PM, when around 400 users flagged trouble accessing Jio’s network. By 2:45 PM, the number of reports had skyrocketed past 12,000, pointing to a major outage.
Meanwhile, frustrated customers took to X (formerly Twitter), posting screenshots of “No Service” notifications and missing signal bars on their devices. Many users have tagged Jio’s official handle, demanding answers. So far, Reliance Jio has not issued any official statement addressing the outage or its cause.

#Jio network is down. Using only one SIM, especially Jio, is like driving through a high-range area without a stepney. 🥴#jio #jiodown @reliancejio @JioCare pic.twitter.com/JZv1y3faB6
