Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) held its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, unveiling a series of announcements that signal a major leap forward for the conglomerate and its subsidiaries. The meeting, addressed by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of RIL, highlighted the company’s record-breaking financial performance and bold strategic initiatives across its diverse business verticals.
The company announced its investment of over Rs 3,643 crore ($437 million) in research and development over the past year. It has filed over 2,555 patents focusing on advancements in bio-energy, solar energy, and digital technologies. Focusing on the expansion of its digital services, Jio announced that its True 5G, now covers over 85% of India’s 5G radio cells and its network manages nearly 8% of global mobile traffic. Jio Phonecall AI and Jio Brain
The company introduced Jio Phonecall AI, a new service that brings artificial intelligence to everyday phone interactions. This new feature allows users to record, store, transcribe, summarise, and translate phone calls automatically. It enables users to record and store calls in Jio Cloud, automatically transcribe them into text, summarise the content, and translate it into different languages. This simplifies communication by making conversations searchable, shareable, and accessible across languages, with no need for additional apps. Its inclusive design also supports individuals who are hearing-impaired by converting spoken words into text.
Jio also announced Jio Brain- a comprehensive suite of artificial intelligence designed to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies, enhance decision-making processes, and improve customer insights across Reliance’s various business sectors. It aims at creating a national AI infrastructure by leveraging gigawatt-scale data centers powered by green energy making AI more accessible and affordable.
Jio AI-Cloud welcome offer
The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer is designed to make cloud storage and artificial intelligence services more accessible to its users. Under this offer, Jio customers will receive up to 100 GB of free cloud storage starting this Diwali.

Jio TvOS is Reliance Jio’s newly developed operating system made for the Jio Set Top Box. It brings support for Ultra HD 4K resolution, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. The aim of Jio TvOS is to deliver a superior viewing experience with crystal-clear picture quality and immersive sound.

Jio Home IoT is a system that works in tandem with Jio TvOS. It streamlines home automation by ensuring that all smart devices are fully compatible through Matter-compliant standards. This integration enables users to manage and control smart home devices from one central platform, making the process of home management more efficient.
JioHome app
The JioHome app is a comprehensive control hub for managing smart devices at home. It includes features like malware detection and guest Wi-Fi management, ensuring that your home network remains protected and secure.
JioTV+ expansion
JioTV+ now offers access to an extensive library of over 860 live TV channels in HD, integrating content from leading streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Hotstar. The company has optimised JioTV+ for a faster and smooth switching between channels.
