Xiaomi launched Redmi Buds 5 wireless earbuds in India today. The affordable TWS from the house of Xiaomi pack 12.4mm dynamic drivers, hybrid noise cancellation, and up to 38 hours battery life with fast charging support all for less than Rs 3,000.
The Redmi Buds 5 earbuds come with 46dB “hybrid noise cancellation” that Xiaomi claims can block out 99.5 percent of background noise. By putting 12.4mm dynamic titanium drivers inside them, it is promising “exceptional sound quality across all frequencies.” The earbuds have dual mic setup and AI voice enhancement for “unmatchable call quality even in windy conditions”, Xiaomi adds.
The earbuds work with a companion Xiaomi Earbuds App and support three transparency modes, a choice of deep, balanced, and light noise cancellation, and standard, enhanced treble, enhanced bass, and enhanced voice audio. At the same time features like dual-device pairing and find your earphones are nice value adds.
The Redmi Earbuds 5 are rated to deliver up to 38 hours of battery life with the case while fast charging allows for up to 2 hours of playtime with only 5 minutes of charging, according to Xiaomi.
Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 India price, availability
The Redmi Buds 5 earbuds price in India is set at Rs 2,999. General availability is pegged for February 20 across Mi.com, Amazon, Flipkart, Mi Homes and Xiaomi retail partners. The earbuds will be offered at Rs 2,499 (Rs 500 discount) on the purchase of the Redmi Note 13 series or Xiaomi and Redmi Pad for a limited period.
Colour choices for the Redmi Buds 5 include Fusion Purple, Fusion Black, and Fusion White.
