The Realme C67 5G is launching in India on December 14, 2023. You can think of it as Realme’s answer to Xiaomi’s Redmi 13C 5G. Both smartphones will battle it out to be top-choice for budget-conscious buyers looking to switch to 5G and while we’ve already got a good look at the Redmi (and written about it at length), the upcoming Realme phone stands a good chance to give the 13C 5G a run for money basis of everything we’re hearing about it ahead of D-day.
As is usually the case, Realme has been hyping the C67 5G across social media (and its own website), roughly around the same time the Redmi 13C 5G broke cover in India. Billed as the “real 5G democratiser”, the C67 5G is set to become the first 5G phone under Realme’s C-series. For those unaware, phones in lineup tend to cost around Rs 10,000 (and lower) and so there’s a good chance that Realme will be looking to undercut Redmi in pricing or give better specs at around similar pricing.
First impressions seem to suggest the C67 5G would be a tweaked Realme Narzo 60x 5G. The design feels eerily familiar. The dimensions, too, as Realme is once again touting the sleek “7.89mm” aspect. You will be able to get it in a choice of green and black, much like the Narzo 60x, with a flat chassis and striking rounded camera assembly, plus a more modern hole punch cutout at the centre (relative to the Redmi).
The Realme C67 5G is also set to get some type of official IP-rating, possibly IP52/53, its listing page on Realme’s website confirms. Rounding of the package is support for 33W fast charging (again, same as the Narzo 60x). More details are awaited.
The Narzo 60x is already a great alternative to the Redmi 13C 5G with a starting price of Rs 11,999 for 4GB/128GB trim and with the C67 5G expected to be priced a bit lower, Realme is clearly going for Xiaomi’s jugular with its upcoming launch. Watch this space for more coverage.
