After spending some time using the Realme P4 Pro 5G as my daily driver, I found it to be a phone that tries to balance premium looks, strong battery life, and dependable performance while still keeping the price accessible. But like every device, it has its hits and misses. Here’s my full experience with it.

Price

The Realme P4 Pro is priced in India starting at Rs. 24,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 26,999, while the top-end version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs. 28,999.

Display

The Realme P4 Pro 5G comes with a 6.8-inch 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curved AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K (1280×2800) resolution. The colours and clarity are definitely sharp, and the high refresh rate makes everything feel smooth.

However, I personally struggled a bit with the curved display. Since I’m used to flat screens, I found the curved edges difficult to adjust to. A lot of mistouches happened while typing, scrolling or even holding the phone casually. While the visual appeal of the curve is nice, the practicality wasn’t the best for me.

Processor

Inside, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and for the price segment, it handles tasks quite smoothly. Regular usage like browsing, social media, switching between apps felt fast and fluid.

I did notice that the chipset doesn’t throttle much even during slightly heavy tasks, which is a plus. But it does heat up a little when I’m multitasking for long durations. The warmth isn’t uncomfortable, but it’s something I consistently noticed while juggling multiple apps at once.

Design

When I first saw the Realme P4 Pro 5G, the wood-textured back immediately caught my eye. At a glance, it looks premium and different from the usual designs. But the moment I held it, the plastic nature became obvious. Even though the design looks unique, the material doesn’t feel as premium as it appears visually.

That said, the phone is surprisingly lightweight and easy to use one-handed despite its large size. I only wish Realme had gone for a metal frame instead of plastic, which would have elevated the feel substantially.

Camera

The camera system on the Realme P4 Pro 5G delivers decent photos for its price range. They’re usable for casual photography, but they’re definitely not Instagram-ready straight out of the camera. Colours lack vibrancy and punch, and the dynamic range isn’t always consistent.

Low-light photography is where the phone struggles the most. Photos often come out soft, grainy, and lacking detail which is something that becomes noticeable even without zooming in.

Battery

The 7,000mAh battery is one of the biggest highlights of this device. It easily lasts more than a full day, even when I push it with long gaming sessions or hours of Netflix at night. What impressed me most was how much battery was still left the next Morning could still listen to music or browse without immediately needing a charger.

For users who prioritise endurance, the Realme P4 Pro 5G definitely delivers in this department.

Conclusion

The Realme P4 Pro 5G offers a lot: a vibrant display, smooth performance, unique design, and an excellent battery life. But it also comes with a few compromises like mistouch-prone curved edges, average cameras, and a plastic build that doesn’t feel as premium as it looks.

If you want long battery life and reliable performance at a budget-friendly price, this phone fits the bill. But if displays and cameras matter most to you, you might want to explore alternatives.

The United States has said that its trade talks with India are moving faster than they have in years. Jamieson Greer, their top trade official, has said that Washington is ready to extend the same “no-tariff” treatment it gives to other partners, but only to countries that are willing to “play ball.”
