OnePlus has officially begun the global rollout of OxygenOS 15 for its OnePlus 12, bringing a range of enhancements designed to improve performance, multitasking, and user experience. The new update comes with significant performance enhancements, visual design changes, and an array of AI-powered features aimed at improving multitasking and overall usability. OxygenOS 15 introduces a new graphics engine that uses parallel processing to deliver smoother animations and better rendering performance. This upgrade ensures users can enjoy more fluid visuals, even when multitasking or running resource-heavy applications. Additionally, the update brings swipe consistency to third-party apps, including WebView interfaces, making transitions across apps and the system smoother.

The Home screen gets a complete refresh in OxygenOS 15. The update also refines the rounded corners of system elements for a more uniform look. Alongside these changes, OnePlus introduces Flux Themes, offering better customisation options for the Always-On Display, Lock screen, and Home screen. Users can now personalise their device with different wallpapers, clock colors, and AI-driven effects.

One of the notable updates is the improvement to Fluid Cloud, which now supports a broader range of third-party apps, including Spotify, Swiggy, and Zomato. This feature allows for real-time synchronisation of activities such as food orders or music playback, ensuring a smoother, more responsive user experience. The cloud-based system also introduces dynamic blurring effects to improve the design of live activity cards and notifications.

Multitasking on the OnePlus 12 gets more intuitive with the introduction of Floating Window gestures and Resizable Split View. Users can now easily manage multiple tasks by swiping down to open floating windows and resizing them as needed. Split View also allows users to adjust the display area to their preference, making it easier to switch between apps.

OxygenOS 15 brings new features designed to extend battery life. The Charging Limit feature halts charging once the battery reaches 80%, which can help preserve the long-term health of the battery. Additionally, the update adds a battery protection reminder, which alerts users when the device has been charging for an extended period, further protecting the battery from degradation.

OxygenOS 15 also makes Private Safe feature now more organised, offering categorised views for images, videos, and documents, which makes it easier for users to manage their sensitive data. There is also a new Home screen shortcut for accessing hidden apps, adding an extra layer of convenience and security.

For those who use their OnePlus devices for calls and online meetings, Holo Audio now enhances sound quality. The notification system has been revamped with the introduction of Split Mode, allowing users to easily access the notification drawer and Quick Settings through separate gestures. OxygenOS 15 also offers more options for customisation, including new Always-On Display styles, Lock screen clock designs, and a Two-Tone theme colour for the Quick Settings menu.

Additional features include a fun Easter egg in the Calculator app, which activates when users enter “1+=” — a playful reminder of OnePlus’s “Never Settle” philosophy. The update also brings improved Notes widgets, a Home screen clock widget, and smoother multitasking with automatic redirection to the last used app in the recent tasks view. OnePlus has also teased the upcoming integration of AI-related features, which are still being tested and will be rolled out gradually by the end of the month.

The OxygenOS 15 update is available now for OnePlus 12 users in India (IN), North America (NA), Europe (EU), and Global (GLO) regions. The update is being rolled out in stages, with different versions available for each region.
