The OnePlus Nord 5 will follow up the OnePlus 13s as the next launch from the brand, accompanying the more affordable OnePlus Nord CE 5. Succeeding the popular Nord 4 from last year, the Nord 5 is rumoured to bring a lot of upgrades in a bid to give it a standing chance against competitors from Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme and more. Ahead of the launch, teasers and leaks have revealed almost everything there is to know about the Nord 5, the latest one emphasising the camera details.
Initially, the Nord 5 was expected to carry over the same camera setup from its predecessor without any major changes. However, OnePlus has now addressed that concern with a revelation on its Indian website. Contrary to what the leaks had previously said, the Nord 5 from OnePlus is getting a bunch of new camera sensors that could make it worth considering over its competitors.
OnePlus Nord 5 camera revealed: The Google Pixel killer?
The OnePlus Nord 5 is going big on the camera department and based on the teaser, it seems OnePlus may finally address one of the Nord’s biggest weaknesses. The Nord 5 will feature a 50MP Sony LYT 700 sensor, which is also used on the OnePlus 13’s main camera setup. The secondary camera is still unnamed but rumours suggest a basic 8MP ultrawide sensor assigned for the job.
The front camera, as OnePlus says, will be a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor with support for autofocus. This sensor will allow 4K video recording at 60 fps, thus making it a suitable deal for bloggers.
