OnePlus has announced the OnePlus Pad Go, a new entry-level Android tablet that’s positioned below the flagship OnePlus Pad and tries to bring “big-screen entertainment” at a relatively more economical pricing. The OnePlus Pad Go will be launched in India on October 6, 2023, and ahead of D-day, it has released the first look of its second tablet confirming that it will share base design with the original OnePlus Pad including its signature green hues and centred-camera layout.

In a press release sent out to the media today, OnePlus says the move to launch a more affordable tablet comes in response to a “discerned market demand for an economical, entertainment-oriented tablet,” after an “overwhelming response [the brand received] from consumers” for its first tablet— the OnePlus Pad.

Adding on to this, it says the OnePlus Pad Go packs in the “same stunning and ergonomic design as the OnePlus Pad. This includes the curved-edge design, the distinctive green tone, and the centred-camera layout, chosen for its ability to precisely capture the user’s perspective.”

The OnePlus Pad Go is being touted for its immersive big screen and by extension multimedia playback capabilities. In a recent interview with Digital Trends, OnePlus COO Kinder Liu revealed that the OnePlus Pad Go will come with a 2.4K resolution screen and run OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13. Software quirks like content syncing and screen sharing with OnePlus smartphones, we saw on the OnePlus Pad, are likely to be made available on the OnePlus Pad Go as well. More details are awaited.
