It’s Day. In a few hours, OnePlus will take the wraps off the OnePlus 13 series, unveiling two new smartphones, OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, for global markets. The phones are launching in India, too, at the same time. OnePlus 13 series winter launch event live stream: What to expect
The OnePlus 13 series will break cover internationally later today. There are two phones to watch out for. These are the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. The 13, as you might have guessed already, is the top-tier flagship phone from OnePlus for 2025. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and other high-end features including an LTPO AMOLED display, fifth-generation Hasselblad cameras, and an IP69 rating. The OnePlus 13R is the proverbial flagship killer with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 6,000mAh battery. Both phones have the OnePlus signature alert slide, which ex-cofounder Carl Pei has dissed publicly recently saying most people never use it.
The OnePlus 13 and 13R will be joined by the OnePlus Buds Pro 3 with Sapphire Blue finish. There may be other surprises, but we’ll have to wait and watch out for that. So, fingers crossed there.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked January 2025
Call it a coincidence or not, Samsung has revealed the launch date for its next flagship lineup Galaxy S25 series on the same day that OnePlus is launching the 13 and 13R. Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, at Unpacked San Jose on January 22. The Korean major has made it abundantly clear that AI will play a big part of this year’s launch. So, would immersive experiences with the debut of Project Moohan Extended Reality (XR) headset.
