What is the NYT “Connections” and how to play?
The NYT Connections is a word puzzle game which was launched in 2023 by The New York Times. It gives you a 4 x 4 grid which contains 16 words. The words are divided into four sets, and each of those sets has something in common or a connection with each other. For instance, if there are 16 words in the grid and among them you see Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, then you automatically get an idea that something among them is common, and this set is of famous footballers. After you choose four words from the grid, you have to hit submit, and if the answer is correct, then all the selected words will be deleted from the grid, and then you will have to identify connections among the other 12 words.
All four sets are further divided into four categories, which are purely based on their difficulty, and a colour denotes each difficulty level. Yellow is the easiest, then Green comes, then Blue, and last but most difficult is Purple. To correctly identify all these sets, you will have only 4 chances, and in those chances only you have to get your answers correct.
